Description:
The Architectural Sales Account Executive is a skilled-level sales position and is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys selling beautiful high-end products. This position works primarily inside the showroom and is responsible for handling sales activities in the architecture and design industry and supporting the daily showroom sales activities. This position is also responsible for meeting sales goals and objectives assigned by the Showroom Branch Manager.
What you will do
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with Trade Partners (architects, designers, etc.), resulting in consistent sales growth.
- Offers excellent service to clients in the showroom.
- Schedules appointments and visits to existing and potential customers to present products and services that will meet the customer’s current and future needs.
- Establishes new accounts and partnerships and builds a relationship with customers. Collects information to record opportunities and track the projects.
- Full product knowledge to educate customers on applications and best specifications; pushing specifications and following the project all the way through the sale.
- Enters orders and processes paperwork following established procedures.
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, products, or personnel. Notifies the General Manager, Branch Manager, and/or executive management immediately of complaints received regardless of urgency.
- Follow established sales procedures and pricing policies.
- Meets sales goals and objectives assigned by the General Manager or Branch Manager.
- Meets with the General Manager or Branch Manager on a weekly basis to develop methods and procedures to increase sales and expand markets and business base. Prepares reports of activities and assigned accounts for the General Manager or Branch Manager on a weekly basis or as requested.
- Develops and maintains product knowledge of merchandise and available sales promotional materials.
- Follows up on assignments or projects the Regional Sales Manager or Branch Manager assigns.
Qualifications
- Two to four years of sales experience in an architectural and design environment
- Prior experience working with the trade industry preferred; interior design background a plus
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in business, architecture, interior design, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of stone and tile and the ability to read Architectural plans preferred.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office
- Excellent client service skills and people skills and enjoy building relationships.
- Effective communication skills
- Sales-driven, goal-oriented, and successful at prospecting for new accounts.
