As a Rural Market Manager, you'll build, recruit, and maintain a strong team of Retail Store Managers and Rural Indirect Sales Managers, supporting them every step of the way. Why? This person will serve as a change agent for Small Market Rural Areas (SMRA), supporting multiple channels to increase market share and a strong T-Mobile brand presence. This person must have a proven ability to adapt well to change and fast paced enviornments, including experience in sales, leading and inspiring multi-unit teams, market/store visits, prospecting, and conducting audits to ensure operational excellence. A successful candidate will be strong in relationship building and influence, interact directly with Dealers, Account Managers, and other cross-functional Leaders. Frequent travel required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the team in their development, training, mentoring, and tactical execution, driving leadership behaviors that will lead to earning a place in our customer’s hearts and store employee success
- Set SMRA teams up for success through personalized performance plans and conversations. Including accurate forecasting, strategic planning, defined processes, and ensuring resources are available to meet goals.
- Complete observations of interactions with customers, including feedback, to be used in development, training, and coaching conversations as appropriate
- Travel frequently to conduct market visits and operational audits within supported SMRA to: Ensure all store locations are open per the business plan, meet and/or exceed defined, monthly success measurements, company requirements and operational standards, and complete assigned training on time, and fully.
- Travel frequently to conduct market visits and operational audits within supported SMRA to: Oversee Retail Store Managers in ensuring store employees’ work-related needs, a positive team environment, appropriate staffing levels, scheduling, maintained labor controls, marketing, loss prevention and all other store functions are met.
- Travel frequently to conduct market visits and operational audits within supported SMRA to: Ensure Retail Store Managers and Rural Indirect Managers continue to support operational excellence by observing store functions, monitoring sales and inventory and implementing exciting new store programs and initiatives.
- Support Rural Indirect Managers in onboarding, training, and driving performance.
- Seek and/or prospect (through various forms) to hire new employees who are passionate about building long-lasting customer relationships and are fired up about the T-Mobile Brand, and the latest and greatest technology
- Strengthening relationships, building, and influencing through communication and cross-coordination with Retail and HQ organizations, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Care and Human Resources.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- 2 - 4 years sales and operational experience ()
- 2 - 4 years people management experience ()
- 1 - 3 years T-Mobile multi-unit management experience ()
- 2+ years Wireless Retail Experience ()
- 1+ years Project Management ()
