Description:

We are seeking a skilled Robotics Manufacturing Engineer specializing in robotic end effectors to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative robotic end effectors for various applications. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of our robotic systems, enhancing their capabilities and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • End Effector Design: Design and develop robotic end effectors tailored to specific applications, considering factors such as payload capacity, precision, and environmental constraints.
  • Mechanical Engineering: Apply principles of mechanical engineering to create robust and reliable end effector designs. Ensure designs meet performance requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype end effector designs and conduct thorough testing. Analyze test results to iterate and refine designs for optimal performance.
  • Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials for end effector components, considering factors such as strength, weight, and durability. Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • CAD Modeling: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of end effector assemblies. Generate accurate documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Manufacturing Support: Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless transition from design to production. Provide guidance and support to resolve any manufacturing challenges or issues that arise.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to robotic end effectors. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve end effector designs for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with software engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate end effectors into robotic systems. Communicate effectively and contribute to a cohesive team environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, specifically in the field of robotic end effectors.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and design fundamentals.
  • Experience with prototyping, testing, and iteration of mechanical designs.
  • Knowledge of materials selection and manufacturing processes relevant to robotics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
