Nextracker is seeking a highly experienced and passionate leader to drive continuous improvements around our our Nextracker Responsible Procurement Program (“NX RPP”). As leader of this effort for the North American Market, you will ensure Nextracker Supply Chain runs in the best ethically, socially, and environmentally responsible manner, adhering to all applicable standards and laws.
Based in our Fremont (CA) headquarters, this position will report to the Global Sustainability Director. In your role, you will collaborate with key business leaders in Supply Chain as well as other departments such as Operations, Finance, Project Engineering, R&D, etc. in order to drive continuous improvements. You should have great leadership skills, communication ability, as well as possess a strategic, analytical mind.
Here Is a Glimpse Of What You’ll Do…
- Driving NX’s responsible procurement program, as well as continuous improvement and innovation - covering material as well as logistics
- Driving sustainability principles in the entire supply chain with a heavy focus on environmental impact reduction at our US operations
- Close collaboration with departments to drive NX net zero roadmap
- Managing supplier’s performance globally and being the direct point of contact for all US based suppliers
- Being up to date with latest supply chain and sustainability related regulations on a global scale
- Identify potential sustainability related risk in the supply chain and providing solutions
- Setting up supplier diversity program with a global scale
- Communication of supply chain initiatives to all related stakeholders
Here Is Some Of What You’ll Need (required)…
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, business, sustainability or any relevant field
- 10 years of experience in responsible procurement management (strategy as well as execution)
- Lead auditor in social responsible auditing (e.g. RBA), as well as ISO 14001 and ISO H&S (supplier factory audits, ideally in electronics and / or mining)
- Strong knowledge about sustainability / CSR related risk in various countries and in various types of manufacturing process
- Expert in the aspect of LHR / Modern slavery risk management, program implementation, supplier capacity building as well as related due diligence
- Strong knowledge and experience with environmental and social risk assessment for supply chain, responsible policy development and record keeping
- Familiar with carbon disclosure tools and reports (SBT, GRI, SABS, LCA, CDP, TCFD, etc.)
- In depth knowledge about responsible sourcing and relevant standards, sustainable practices, and applicable regulations
- In depth knowledge about GHG inventory and experience in calculating organizational footprint (scope 1,2 and 3) in an manufacturing environment
- Experience in supplier’s performance tracking (KPI, scorecard, environmental data tracking, etc.)
- Solid understanding about manufacturing processes (preferred around steel manufacturing, mining and or electronics)
- Proven record of sustainable project implementation in the supply chain
- Experience in rolling out and managing supply chain management tools for supplier data collection, performance assessment as well as regular / annual reports
- Strong communication and intercultural management skills (across all job levels and cross-cultural)
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural setting with a global supply chain
- Preferred English native speaker, other languages such as Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese is a plus
