Residential Care Advisor

Description:

Pittsburgh Mercy is hiring a Residential Care Advisor to provide assistance and training to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism in a residential setting. This role is a part of the Interdisciplinary Team and plays a key role in planning and delivering services to support individuals in achieving greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide supportive counseling and assist with daily living skills, medication management, and household maintenance.
✔ Teach apartment and tenant skills, including cleanliness and safety.
✔ Assist individuals in accessing community resources to enhance their quality of life.
✔ Provide transportation for individuals as needed.
✔ Maintain accurate medication records and complete all required documentation.

Schedule:

📅 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday
⏰ 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Qualifications & Requirements:

🎓 Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma with 1 year of direct care experience.
🚗 Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive an organization vehicle.
✅ Clearances Required: Act 33/34/73 (Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances).
🏥 Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screening, and TB Test required.
💊 Must complete Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days of employment.
