Research Programmer I

 

Description:

The primary duties of the research programmer will be focused on analyzing ECoG data from the epilepsy unit at NYU Medical Center in Manhattan. Using state-of-the-art programming methodology and languages for implementation and application in pre-processing and analysis of brain data, the candidate will be using mainly machine learning algorithms, NLP algorithms and DSP procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 2 years experience in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering or another related field or masters degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering or another related field is required.
  • Strong computational skills, experience with machine learning tools, and NLP modeling, with interest in computational neuroscience.
  • Experience with Matlab and Python and experience in database analysis, machine learning and programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills; strong communication skills; solid organization and planning.
