Description:

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in hematology/oncology patient care. This role involves directing, evaluating, and coordinating nursing care activities while ensuring compliance with emergency procedures, staff training, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Patient Care & Nursing Management:

• Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care and functions.

• Assess, monitor, and educate nursing staff on patient care protocols.

• Coordinate unit activities and oversee work assignments for nurses and pharmacy technicians.

• Institute emergency procedures as necessary.

📌 Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with FCS Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy.

• Maintain CPR and BLS certification (BLS must be obtained within 30 days if not already held; FCS provides training).

• Adhere to FCS’s drug-free workplace policy, including background, drug, and nicotine screenings.

Required Qualifications:

✔ Registered Nurse License: Must be licensed in the State of Florida.
✔ Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
✔ Communication & Leadership Skills: Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills to lead and educate nursing staff.
✔ Certifications:

• CPR certification (required upon hire)

• BLS certification (required within 30 days of employment, provided by FCS)
  ✔ Valid Driver’s License: Travel to clinics may be required.
