Description:
Job Responsibilities
- Under direction, serves as a Regional Team Supervisor in planning, directing, and evaluating child support establishment and enforcement activities in Will County
- Serves as a working supervisor
- Serves as liaison between the Division of Child Support Services (CSS) and the Circuit Clerks, the Attorney General’s staff, the State’s Attorneys, legal representatives, and other states in the interpretation of CSS programs and procedures, in case processing, and in the application of child support law
- Research program issues and compiles information
- Develops and provides continual, updated training in the technical aspects of child support law, in legal methods and remedies in the Statewide Child Support System, and in other technical and caseload management aspects of the CSS program
- Appears in court as a witness to proceedings or as an expert on difficult child support cases
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration
- Requires two years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization
Specialized Skills
Of the two years of experience noted above:
- Requires two (2) years of experience working with state and federal policy as it relates to child support
- Requires two (2) years of experience working with child support intake and collections programs
