Description:
Cogent Communications, a leading Tier 1 facilities-based ISP, is seeking a Regional Account Manager to drive new business opportunities and generate sales within an assigned regional sales territory. This is a high-energy role requiring strong communication skills, prospecting abilities, and strategic sales efforts to expand Cogent’s customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, direct calling, and emailing.
- Strategize with Sales Management to target commercial and retail buildings, office parks, and professional campuses.
- Conduct fieldwork activities such as building walks, lobby events, property management networking, and face-to-face customer meetings.
- Understand customer needs and educate them on Cogent’s connectivity solutions using a consultative and relationship-based sales approach.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Achieve monthly revenue targets through consistent and effective sales efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- 0-2+ years of solid sales experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with revenue deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Work Environment:
- In-office position (5 days a week) to ensure hands-on mentorship, training, and personal coaching for success.
