Radiology Chair

Howard University Hospital’s Radiology Department, located in Washington, DC, is seeking a Chair to lead an energized group of dedicated faculty that serve the academic and clinical missions of the Howard University College of Medicine. The Radiology Chair will oversee day to day management of the Department and off-site centers; address concerns and strengthen relationships with our referral base; maintain the delivery of excellent patient care; collaborate with the Director of Radiology, and Radiology Managers, in a team-base approach to departmental operations; participate in multidisciplinary meetings and conferences; optimize IT services; engage in faculty recruitment; oversee the clinical budget; design and coordinate the academic program and research endeavors for Radiology; and foster a warm and friendly work environment through an “open door” line of communications.

Qualified applicants must be board certified, interested in working with a diverse patient population, eligible for medical licensure in the District of Columbia, possess excellent communication skills, display strong clinical expertise and scholarly achievements in research, and provide visionary leadership to the department.
