Quality Engineer

Description:

• Improve product quality
• Generate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for both purchased components and parts made in-house.
• Assist with problem solving and creation of effective 8Ds
• Respond to customer CARs
• Communicate directly with the customer to understand issues and explain resulting actions
• Lead problem solving events, create 8D, and verify effectiveness
• Quickly address day to day plant quality concerns to keep production lines running and making good parts
• Document product nonconformances
• Oversee Kilian’s Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain IATF 16949 accreditation
• Possess an in depth knowledge of Kilian’s entire QMS
• Verify conformance to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and AS9100
• Monitor effectiveness
• Lead continuous improvement events
• Lead 3rd party surveillance and certification audits
• Manage corrective actions resulting from findings
• Lead Kilian’s internal audit program
• Perform supplier audits
• Compensation Range: Target range is $65,000 - $70,0
   

Minimum Requirements:
 

• 3+ years of direct experience
• BS in Quality Assurance or related
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or AS9100
• SPC
• Gage Design
• Microsoft
• AIAG core tools
• Some travel required
