Required Technical Skills and Experience
 

  • Bachelors of Science in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related scientific field with relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant air quality and/or compliance consulting experience
  • Experience working with elements of Title V and/or PSD permitting, minor source permitting, BACT analyses, MACT standards, compliance reporting, and compliance auditing
  • Excellent technical writing skills, and experience writing comprehensive technical reports
  • Effective time management of multiple project tasks
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel by airplane and car, including occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to visit industrial and manufacturing facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete accurate air quality permits for Title V, PSD, and New Source Review compliance under the supervision of a Principal or Senior Project Manager
  • Develop air emission calculations and conduct regulatory reviews under the supervision of a Principal or Senior Project Manager
  • Interact with local regulators to steward permit application review and issuance
  • Learn and implement compliance reporting software tools
  • Provide technical understanding related to projects (i.e., regulatory framework/requirements, sound engineering approach, investigation methods, etc.)
  • Assist clients with compliance programs
  • Solicit work from SLR project managers
  • Conduct short-duration travel to attend client and project meetings
