Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelors of Science in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related scientific field with relevant experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant air quality and/or compliance consulting experience
- Experience working with elements of Title V and/or PSD permitting, minor source permitting, BACT analyses, MACT standards, compliance reporting, and compliance auditing
- Excellent technical writing skills, and experience writing comprehensive technical reports
- Effective time management of multiple project tasks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel by airplane and car, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to visit industrial and manufacturing facilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and complete accurate air quality permits for Title V, PSD, and New Source Review compliance under the supervision of a Principal or Senior Project Manager
- Develop air emission calculations and conduct regulatory reviews under the supervision of a Principal or Senior Project Manager
- Interact with local regulators to steward permit application review and issuance
- Learn and implement compliance reporting software tools
- Provide technical understanding related to projects (i.e., regulatory framework/requirements, sound engineering approach, investigation methods, etc.)
- Assist clients with compliance programs
- Solicit work from SLR project managers
- Conduct short-duration travel to attend client and project meetings
