As the Project Manager, here’s the work you’ll do:
Proficient communication (oral, written) with client to understand risks and obtain expectations for success, manage service deliverables and obtain / disseminate client feedback throughout the course of the project with internal project stakeholders
Proficient communication (oral, written) with multi-disciplined project team leads and members to ensure members are informed of any updates, changes and letting teams know if they are on track with project milestones / requirements.
Prepare budgets, for proposals and contracts, and direct the negotiation of contract fees. Prepare project forecasting hours and expense estimates required to satisfy project completion. Manage monthly invoices and accounts receivable actions. Liaise with A/E staff to confirm estimates.
Coordinate and direct projects making detailed plans to accomplish goals and to facilitate, through project planning and management, the integration of technical activities such as architectural, civil, structural, life safety, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications design.
Plan and conduct both in-house and external client meetings with project teams to ensure communication within project teams is aligned to the project scope of work.
Conduct presentations to outline project to client and staff; conduct ongoing project meetings to ensure communication within the team.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
Extensive knowledge of the practical applications related to architecture, engineering science, and associated technologies, particularly the design of building and related site infrastructure, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, building sciences, sustainability and technology systems.
Knowledge of design techniques and tools involved in the production of technical plans, drawings and computer models.
Knowledge of the rules and regulations that govern a particular market segment, such as Federal, State Department, Military or municipal government.
Knowledge of business and management theories involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, management technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Skills and abilities for proficient use of project management tools including: pert charts, gantt charts, cost accounting tools, Microsoft office softwares (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, OneNote), Bluebeam (.PDF), VTC mediums (Zoom), Deltek products (VantagePoint), and SharePoint.
And if you have these qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Architecture
5+ years of experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry
PMP preferred
Professional Engineer license (PE) or AIA required or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire date.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required. Ability to travel to client offices and project site as necessary.
