Description:
The Project Coordinator for the summer Diversity Internship assists with the administrative tasks of the Diversity Internship program which will welcome its first cohort in May 2024. At the direction of the Mellon and Moravec University Experiences Manager, the coordinator will manage and facilitate the diversity internship program. This is a limited term position from April - July, 2024.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Provides administration and operational support under the supervision of the University Experiences Manager.
- Organizes group meetings, guest speakers, and off-site visits.
- Plans activities, readings, and discussions for undergraduate student interns.
- Arranges technology for virtual meetings with guests as applicable.
- Provides on the ground support for activities and events involved with the summer internship.
- Keeps records of data and other possible information related to the internship program.
- Available to help interns travel within the museum, across campus, and to offsite locations.
- Helps with other duties pertaining to the Summer Diversity Internship program as assigned.
- Revises schedule based on data and intern interactions under the supervision of the University Experiences Manager.
- Considers programming effectiveness, communicates clearly to University Experiences Manager about any issues that arise.
- Reviews policies and procedures involved in the Diversity Internship program, suggests improvements and ensures that all rules comply with university standards.
- Works with the Education department to plan and implement programming related to the internship.
- Presents documentation, data, and findings to the education team for improvement on the internship program and for the sake of the museum.

- 2 years coordinating an arts-related program encouraged

- Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of modes (written, spoken, visual) and in a variety of roles (instructor, facilitator, mentor, learner)
