Reports to: Programs Manager
Responsibilities:
Support the Programs Manager to coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and the participant application process.
Attend weekly (online) team meetings
Be present and represent Urbano during the (in person) program sessions (4-7pm), field trips, and final events (some Saturdays), to welcome participants, update their attendance and assist the Artist in Residence who will be teaching the program.
Assist in communication with program participants, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders to ensure clear and effective information exchange.
Support the documentation of program activities, including taking minutes during meetings, tracking progress, photographing, and maintaining records.
Help plan and execute events, workshops, and final events, coordinating event logistics and ensuring a seamless experience for participants.
Contribute to data collection, organization, and analysis, for program evaluations, reports, and impact assessments.
Provide assistance and support to program participants, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive participant experience.
Support the team members to ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and effectively meet objectives.
Assist in program outreach and promotion efforts through various channels to engage a wider audience.
Handle ad hoc administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of Programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in arts, education, or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience working in the arts sector, preferably in arts education, creative youth development, or social justice work
Demonstrated experience working with youth aged 14-19 and intergenerational community participants.
Demonstrated passion for the arts, community engagement, and social justice.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
