Qualifications:

Reports to: Programs Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Programs Manager to coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and the participant application process.

  • Attend weekly (online) team meetings

  • Be present and represent Urbano during the (in person) program sessions (4-7pm), field trips, and final events (some Saturdays), to welcome participants, update their attendance and assist the Artist in Residence who will be teaching the program.

  • Assist in communication with program participants, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders to ensure clear and effective information exchange.

  • Support the documentation of program activities, including taking minutes during meetings, tracking progress, photographing, and maintaining records.

  • Help plan and execute events, workshops, and final events, coordinating event logistics and ensuring a seamless experience for participants.

  • Contribute to data collection, organization, and analysis, for program evaluations, reports, and impact assessments.

  • Provide assistance and support to program participants, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive participant experience.

  • Support the team members to ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and effectively meet objectives.

  • Assist in program outreach and promotion efforts through various channels to engage a wider audience.

  • Handle ad hoc administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of Programs.

 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in arts, education, or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the arts sector, preferably in arts education, creative youth development, or social justice work

  • Demonstrated experience working with youth aged 14-19 and intergenerational community participants.

  • Demonstrated passion for the arts, community engagement, and social justice.

  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
