Basic Function, Nature and Scope
MRIGlobal is seeking a Program Manager I, with expertise in in vitro diagnostics (IVDs), to lead programs supporting commercial and/or government Clients. Working within our Contract Research Organization (CRO), the Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget, in compliance with any relevant regulations (e.g. FDA, CAP/CLIA, etc.).

The Program Manager will report to the Associate Director of the Disease Detection and Diagnostics Department within the Integrated Surveillance and Diagnostics Business Unit. The Program Manager will work independently and in coordination with the other program managers, capability managers and technical leads to meet client requirements for each project. The Program Manager is responsible for managing scope, schedule and cost for their assigned projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The Program Manager will also support our Business Development Unit by participating in opportunity assessments and delivery of proposals to our Clients.

Essential Functions

  • Leadership and Oversight: Lead multidisciplinary teams for projects involving development, verification and validation of in vitro diagnostics.
  • Project Planning & Managment: Plan, execute, and close projects in line with project management principles as outlined by the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical teams, quality assurance, and project management to ensure alignment. Work closely with internal and external stake holders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest scientific advancements and technologies in disease diagnostics. Participate in business unit initiatives to promote research and innovation.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure that all activities adhere to internal SOPs and global regulatory standards.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the progress of projects, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
  • Mentorship: Foster growth and provide guidance to junior staff and team members.

Project Management Responsibility

  • Assemble and lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Allocate resources and set project timelines.
  • Implement project management tools to track progress and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Liaise with cross-functional internal teams, as well as external stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage project budgets, including financial tracking and reporting.
