Responsibilities:
- Direct the university’s instructional design and curriculum development services to meet university goals for equity and inclusion, student success, and high quality of all academic programs.
- Develop and deliver training programs to align with the university’s mission, vision, and goals as well as with the system’s strategic plan.
- Provide supervision for production instructional designers and leadership for faculty mentors to promote a creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial team-based environment.
- Contribute to the Center for Education Innovation (CEI) and perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
- Master’s Degree in instructional design or strongly related educational discipline
- Three years of advanced professional experience as an instructional designer in online teaching in a post-secondary or university-level environment
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of instructional design and development (e.g. portfolio, online examples) including: needs analysis, applied adult learning principles, systematic instructional design processes, graphic design and visual support, evaluation, and impact assessment
- Familiarity with the pedagogy/andragogy of online teaching
- Ability to manage projects in a team environment
