Description:
As the Land Surveyor or Project Surveyor you will be tasked with:
- Conducting detailed land surveys and preparing accurate reports and maps.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project requirements are satisfied.
- Utilizing advanced surveying equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
- Supervising and mentoring junior surveyors and field crews.
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those protecting wildlife.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise during the surveying process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Surveyor License (PLS) in the state of Florida is preferred.
- Prefer a Professional Land Surveyor or the ability to obtain a license within six months.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on Land Development and Commercial Development.
- Proficient in using surveying equipment/ software such as Trimble Surveying Equipment and Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS. Must have a significant understanding of GPS.
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Google Earth.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
