Production Test Engineering Intern

Description:

The role reports to the Quality Control Specialist and is located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Under the direction of the Production Test Engineering Manager, the Production Test Engineering Intern performs a variety of engineering assignments and projects. Performs basic test setups and test sequence changes. Exercises judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods. Prepares documentation within one’s scope of deliverables. Proactively seeks and implements initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities
 

• Create and edit software used to run test sequences and documents accordingly
• Maintain, update and improve production test equipment and fixtures
• Audit test results looking for changes in recorded data and test limits
• Perform general electrical and mechanical tests to troubleshoot production test failures and address qualify issues
• Create and modify mechanical models and drawings to support production test functions functions
   

Your background
 

• Junior/Senior standing in electrical, mechanical, industrial computer or software engineering program or equivalent
• Proficient with one or more CAD programs and software programing languages
• Experience with SAP and SQL databases preferred, but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, energetic and comfortable with self-directing assigned activities
• Confidence to make recommendations, able to gather and analyze data under direct supervision
• Takes strong initiative to complete projects, works well both independently and in team environment
