Production Designer

Description:

Our internal agency is seeking a Production Designer to join our creative team, reporting directly to the Group Creative Director of Cigna Healthcare. You will contribute mainly to projects that support our highly regulated Medicare line of business. To do this, you’ll need to embrace the technical (and somewhat tedious) task of managing layouts and production preparation of long-form multipage documents. All of this with a goal of delivering meaningful and consistent brand experiences for our customers, clients and partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with both clients and members of the internal agency team to prepare layouts with an emphasis on thorough production standards and attention to detail
  • Generate picture-perfect production assets that meet required specifications for print and digital mediums, including accessibility standards
  • Confidently articulate production standards and technical requirements within internal creative reviews and with clients
  • Apply your expertise in design thinking/principles/typography to additional assignments as needed, which may include digital display, email, direct mail, print collateral, presentation narratives and identity development
  • Demonstrate a curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends, while keeping the pulse of design industry shifts and best practice
  • Quickly become an expert with regard to Cigna Healthcare and its robust offering of products and solutions
  • Act as a steward of our brand and be responsible for maintaining consistency of visual identity across all experiences

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL OFFER

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising or design (BFA in graphic design preferred)
  • 2+ years of design production experience in an advertising agency, design studio or highly strategic in-house agency
  • A world-class portfolio that demonstrates work with flawless execution across channels
  • Solid foundation in accessibility standards
  • An impeccable visual aesthetic paired with a firm understanding of the fundamentals of design (layout, hierarchy, typography, color and image selection)
  • Experience working within established brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across various collateral
  • An enviable (almost to the point of being annoying) level of attention to detail when creating design assets
  • An aptitude for earning trust and developing meaningful relationships
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Powerpoint and Microsoft Word
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and analytically and to distill complex ideas into simplified, tangible ideas
  • A positive attitude with a “get-stuff-done” mindset
  • Ability to work from a Cigna office 3 days a week, as requested by the business
