You can use your expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to push the envelope of what is possible in a browser with the Esri user community, allowing them to quickly create interactive maps and apps, perform complex analysis, and make better decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team that designs, builds, tests, and supports the Calcite Design System.
Responsibilities:
- Design, prototype, analyze, test, document, release, and support the Calcite Design System to enhance overall product quality
- Implement UI/UX workflows and solutions while keeping designs flexible to accommodate more audiences
- Work with customers and other stakeholders to define customer requirements; translate them into potential product improvements and new software designs
- Ensure components meet accessibility, internationalization, and localization requirements
- Write documentation ranging from sample code to template apps to tutorials
- Support and interact with customers; evaluate feedback and plan for future releases
- Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
- Research and help drive state-of-the-art UX practices
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with TypeScript, Web Components, and/or Stencil
- Comfortable designing modern web experiences with frameworks, such as Angular, Ember, React, Svelte, Vue
- Experience with web development and accessibility
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, web design, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields
