What is my day to day like?
As a Process Engineer I working with our Manufacturing Team out of Greenville, TX you will play a key role in ensuring our production process are efficient, effective and sustainable by identifying and resolving issues, preventing recurring problems, and continuously improving processes. The typical day-to-day of this position will include but is not limited to:
- Identifying and eliminating safety risks to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Developing, training, and maintaining Centerlines for process areas, adhering to quality control and safety protocols.
- Understanding and performing testing of raw materials, with knowledge of Repulping, Delivery, and Forming Machine processes
- Demonstrating a knowledge of key process steps, including refining, deflaking, screening, dilution, chemical dosing, and forming machine operations.
- Collaborating with peers to understand equipment, process flow, and troubleshooting, and manage trials using DMAIC or similar improvement methods.
- Working with maintenance teams, vendors, and suppliers to optimize equipment performance and manage trials, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous process improvement.
- Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.
What makes a person successful in this position.
- High School GD with Trade School, Technical Secondary School or Above, majoring in engineering, mechatronics, automation, or mechanics preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing industry experience, preferably pulp or paper related.
- 3-5 years of experience in process troubleshooting.
- Technical background or previous work experience involving process troubleshooting.
- General use of Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
