Privacy Compliance Director

Description:

PayPal is seeking a Privacy Compliance Director to support the Commercial Business Unit, overseeing privacy compliance for merchant and consumer products. This role will work closely with product management, engineering, and legal teams to ensure privacy by design and compliance with global privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Conduct privacy assessments for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regulations.
✔ Integrate privacy by design throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
✔ Develop privacy policies, guidelines, and training for business teams.
✔ Support data mapping and ensure proper handling of personal data.
✔ Assess third-party vendors for privacy risks.
✔ Investigate and remediate privacy incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

Qualifications & Requirements:

📜 10+ years of experience in privacy compliance or data protection.
⚖ Deep knowledge of privacy laws & frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
📊 Experience with risk & impact assessments for privacy compliance.
📂 Familiarity with privacy tools, data governance platforms, and compliance software.
📢 Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
💡 Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
