Global Advisory Services (GAS) Technology group defines and implements technology and strategic vision by understanding the needs of our Global Sales and Marketing organization. GAS Technology is accountable and responsible for solutions that drive the growth outcomes of our firm and includes Sales Enablement, Marketing Technology, Digital Enablement, and Data Insights and Analytics.

Sales & Marketing Technologies Principal Software Engineer is a key role that requires collaboration with product owners, technology leaders, and vendors to define the technical strategy and drive innovation. Principal Software Engineer is responsible for the development and delivery of capabilities across Seismic Sales Enablement Platform, Adobe-Workfront Workflow Integrations and Quark Content Authoring platforms. Principal engineer works closely with the Enterprise Architect and development teams to standardize application development tools, optimize processes, and implement industry leading Marketing technologies and Sales Enablement best practices.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Sales & Marketing Technologies Principal Software Engineer?

  • Identifies and leads the development and design for complex modules and application frameworks as well as associated unit and integration testing for those components.

  • Acts as a consultant with multiple teams and projects in establishing a deeper understanding of domain architecture, design, and implementation guidelines.

  • Overseeing initial software rollouts and updates to ensure smooth implementation.

  • Recommends and implements new product features that result in increased quality, efficiencies, maintainability and scalability of applications and/or environments.

  • Defines, documents, and communicates standards, guidelines, best practices, and quick start samples in the usage for a specific technical area.

  • Works with Project Managers to create projects plans, technical task breakdown, facilitating and leading architectural discussions.

  • Drives the evaluation and selection of software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations for Sales & Marketing Technologies.

  • Mentor and Train Engineers responsible for writing the code for new software and updates.

  • Participating in leadership meetings to contribute to Sales & Marketing Department strategy.

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related field

  • Strong programming experience (10+ years) as Java J2EE/Angular full stack development and demonstrates sound knowledge of Software Engineering and Architectural concepts.

  • Strong development experience with Cloud Computing platforms (Amazon AWS / Microsoft Azure).

  • Experience in building and consuming SOAP / REST web services and knowledge of MuleSoft/APIM and its connectors.

  • Experience working with SQL DBs like Oracle and Datawarehouse platforms like Snowflake.

  • Experience with marketing tools that support Sales Enablement, Campaign management and behavior analytics.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience communicating and presenting to executive level.

Preferable:

  • Experience with Seismic Sales Enablement, Workfront Fusion and Content Authoring platforms.
