Prestige Beauty Advisor

Description:

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) at Ulta Beauty is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance). The PBA engages guests to determine their individual needs and assists them in selecting and purchasing prestige merchandise. The position involves delivering exceptional guest service, performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations, and driving sales and brand goals. The role also supports in-store events, training, and ensuring store standards.

Responsibilities:

Performance:

• Meet or exceed sales goals related to retail, service, guest loyalty, shrink, and omni-channel sales, with a focus on prestige category products.

• Provide exceptional service by engaging every guest, personalizing service, and recommending complementary products.

• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demos to drive sales.

• Book appointments and support in-store events, ensuring high-quality guest experiences.

• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services.

• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

People:

• Contribute to an inclusive environment, supporting teammates, peers, and guests.

• Collaborate with store associates to help grow the business.

• Participate in ongoing product and brand training to improve product knowledge and sales performance.

Process:

• Comply with Ulta Beauty’s policies and procedures, maintaining store operational standards.

• Ensure the prestige and iconic brand work areas are replenished, clean, and well-maintained.

• Assist with inventory management, merchandise resets, planograms, and marketing displays.

• Promote Ulta’s loyalty program and credit offerings to guests.

• Follow loss prevention practices and provide excellent customer service.

• Execute other operational tasks as required.

Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma (preferred)

• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license (where required by state law)

Skills:

• Passion for prestige products and guest service.

• Ability to build strong customer relationships.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Special Requirements:

• Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to attend corporate business meetings and conferences (including overnight stays).

Working Conditions:

• Frequent mobility, standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting during shifts.

• Continuous lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.

• Coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.
