President And Ceo

Description:

The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports to the Board of Directors and has leadership responsibility for the Association’s vision and strategic direction, values, culture and guiding principles, growth, financial stability, community relations, staffing, financial development and organizational planning.

The leader of the Association should be capable of becoming a prominent figure in the community, and a person who is highly knowledgeable about its opportunities, challenges, needs and resources. The person chosen for this position should have a broad knowledge of the YMCA locally, nationally and globally.

The CEO will work with the Board of Directors, the State Alliance, and YMCA of the USA to develop and implement the strategic goals, and with the Senior Leadership Team, Regional Directors, and Director Level Staff to develop and implement the operating priorities of the Ann Arbor YMCA, including continued expansion efforts throughout Washtenaw and Southern Livingston Counties.

The CEO will assess and implement organizational and business model changes to achieve the vision of the strategic plan considering emerging economic and social realities, including the demands of increased financial assistance and operational support. They will promote and expand a culture of effective philanthropy: specifically, as it relates to annual campaigns, capital campaigns, grants, major donor cultivation, endowments, and planned giving.

To facilitate growth and ensure organizational stability, the CEO is also expected to collaborate with local and regional entities including Washtenaw County, Ypsilanti Township, the City of Ypsilanti, Superior Township, Dexter and other federal, state and local government officials, as well as other local nonprofits, foundations, and educational institutions.
