Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will leverage your strong leadership and mentoring skills, while creating, leading and sustaining a team of QC lab technicians, providing passionate support towards Mauldin site’s safety excellence and operational performance, satisfying operational partners with timely and accurate analytical results and adjustment recommendations, supporting internal and external stakeholders needs with willingness and passion for excellence.

• Participating in the Extended Leadership Safety Contact program and providing leadership and team development which creates and maintains a passion for safe lab operations and a team that is empowered and believes in “stop the job” and working safely
• Leading the quality teams journey to EHS excellence; collaborating with our Spartanburg site management organizing our annual inter-site Lab Safety Day
• Managing the coaching, development and performance of lab technicians and the fatigue management program
• Assisting Operations, Product Management and Supply Chain with product traceability, product certifications, rework strategies, etc
• Managing site’s blocked stock and rework program, and the review of infrequently run products
• Leading the Behavior Based Quality program, management of lab related KPI scorecards (including housekeeping, 5S scores and overtime)) and PM/calibration programs for lab instruments, hoods and the provision of safe work permits
• Collaborating with the lead technician to create Gauge R&R studies for select tests
• Utilizing your level SAP skills to assist with COA, QM and other SAP-related issues
• Supporting Y6 (internal non-conformance) investigations, First Pass Quality efforts, document reviews, production support and rework plan approvals
• Providing instrument troubleshooting, NIR and testing to support sample load, if needed
   

If you...
 

• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline and/or minimum of 5 years of experience supervising or closely supporting the management of an organic chemistry quality control lab
• Demonstrated experience developing talent and high performing team environment
• Strong SAP skills
• Related certifications, e.g. green belt preferred
