As a Pharmacist Operations Manager for Chewy, you will support a team of top professionals that are committed to providing outstanding care and wellness services for pet parents and their pets. In this role, you will be an integral leader of the pharmacy team and a partner in the overall Chewy eCommerce fulfillment network. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and incredible customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the PIC and site lead in overseeing and leading a team of exempt leaders, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and interns.
- Uphold operational standards including performance metrics, safety, quality, customer experience, cost and compliance.
- Perform all related duties and assignments as required for an ecommerce pharmacy.Focus on customer satisfaction, ensure Chewy provides superior service using best practices and prompt engagement.
- Perform personnel management including performance management, training and coaching.
- Build a positive team dynamic that encourages all team members in the building to provide feedback and motivate change within the facility, adapt to the constantly evolving business, and stay focused on the customer experience.
- Drive continuous improvement to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the pharmacy.
- Use the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectiveness.
- Work closely with new hires to help train and onboard as needed.
- Review workflow in all pharmacy areas and address quality improvement opportunities with workforce and leadership.
- Review weekly labor forecast and proactively ensure that staffing levels are adequate. Effectively partner with finance leaders to schedule VOT or VTO as needed to properly cover business while also controlling cost.
- Develop daily/weekly reports regarding the status of business and disseminate that information to the necessary parties.
What You’ll Need
- Current Texas pharmacist license
- Willing to gain any additional license as required
- Strong project management and continuous improvement skills.
- Customer service obsession, with willingness to go above and beyond to satisfy customer needs.
- Effective communicator and leader for team members, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Highest levels of integrity and ethics.
- Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
