As a tech-enabled compounding pharmacy supporting prescription fulfillment for telemedicine companies, we are licensed in 47 states with locations in New York and Florida, PCP acts as a backend fulfillment center, sending API transactions to partner telemedicine companies for prescription updates.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) located in Boca Raton, FL. The PIC will oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including verifying and dispensing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, managing pharmacy staff, and maintaining inventory. The role will also involve collaborating with telemedicine partners to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of prescriptions.

Located in Boca Raton, FL and reporting to the Pharmacist in Charge In NY, the Florida PIC (Pharmacist-in-Charge) would be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations for this location, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert pharmaceutical care, including prescription filling, medication counseling, and staff supervision (3 -4 Pharmacists).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance and Regulation:

· Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice, controlled substances, and medication safety.

· Maintain records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation.

· Prepare, compound, dispense, and sell prescriptions and pharmacy-related products.

· Verify and validate all prescriptions.

· Consult with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions.

Prescription Management:

· Prepare, compound and dispense prescriptions and pharmacy-related products.

· Verify and validate all prescriptions.

· Consult with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions.

Patient Care:

· Oversee medication dispensing processes to ensure accuracy and patient safety

· Provide patient counseling and education on medications.

· Monitor patient drug profiles to ensure safe and effective medication use.

· Address patient inquiries and concerns.

· Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans

Pharmacy Operations:

· Manage pharmacy inventory to ensure proper storage of medications

· Oversee return to stock processing.

· Monitor storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals.

· Maintain a positive and respectful work environment.

Staff Supervision:

· Direct and monitor the performance of pharmacy personnel.

· Organize, lead, and verify the duties and functions performed by supportive personnel.

· Educate and mentor pharmacy staff on best practices and new developments.

Quality Assurance:

· Follow company policy regarding documentation and medication errors.

· Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Other Duties:

· Assist with pharmacy drug file maintenance.

· Perform intake duties for pharmacy deliveries.

· Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Advance Pharmacy degree from an accredited program

· Florida Pharmacist license in good standing (License cannot be used as PIC in any other pharmacy)

· Additional State certification a plus

· Minimum five years of pharmacy experience

· Experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a pharmacy setting

· Excellent knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice

· Experience in compounding pharmacy with a strong understanding pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical calculations

· Proficiency in pharmacy software and electronic software

· Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations

· Highly collaborative with the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others to achieve shared goals, valuing teamwork, open communication, and mutual respect.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proven ability to manage a team effectively

· Strong customer service orientation
