Description:
We are seeking a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) paralegal to join our team. The paralegal will support the Arb attorney and the team. If you are committed to winning, maximizing client recovery, and getting the best possible outcome for our clients please apply.
The successful candidate will possess and be responsible for the following:
- Provide support to the lawyer(s) to enhance law office effectiveness.
- Communicating with clients, law offices, insurance adjusters, and medical offices.
- Prepare filings within the state appointed administrator, this includes motions, briefs, and arbitration statements and discovery demands.
- Compose e-mails and correspondence.
- Obtain medical records from providers.
- Monitor deadlines and be proficient in maintaining the law office calendar.
- Prepare disbursements.
The successful candidate will possess the following requirements:
- At least five years of working experience as a legal assistant or paralegal experience in the Personal Injury Protection (PIP) field.
- Familiarity with Forthright and the statutes and regulations regarding New Jersey No-Fault.
- Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office
- Computer literacy with proficiency in M.S. Office and Dropbox
- Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced office setting.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dover, NJ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Microsoft Office: 5 years (Required)
- Case Managment Software experience a must.
- PI Protection and Litigation (Personal Injury): 5 years (Required)
