Payroll Specialist

Description:

Egan Company is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Champlin, MN. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to work both from home and in the office. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing weekly union payroll, payroll reporting, and compliance across Egan groups while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Payroll Processing & Reporting:

• Process weekly union payroll with accuracy.
• Prepare monthly union benefit reports and certified payroll reports.
• Handle prevailing wage reporting and compliance.
• Manage monthly utilization reporting.
• Conduct the payroll portion of new field leader orientations.
• Employee setup and payroll record maintenance.

✅ Compliance & Customer Service:

• Ensure adherence to payroll regulations and industry standards.
• Provide high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work efficiently in a paperless environment with digital payroll systems.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

✔ Two-year degree in Accounting preferred
✔ 2-5 years of industry experience (Construction or Manufacturing preferred)
✔ 3-5 years of experience in full-cycle, multi-state payroll
✔ Experience in a union payroll setting required
✔ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred
✔ Certified payroll experience highly desired
✔ Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
✔ Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills
✔ Exposure to process improvement in accounting is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

💰 Pay Rate: $28.85 - $31.25 per hour (Subject to experience, education, and skills)
