Description:
We are seeking a Payroll Manager for a large shipping and logistics company. This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in payroll management looking to further their career!
· Oversee the payroll process from start to finish, including global payroll processing, tax withholding, and benefits administration.
· Ensure accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and taxes.
· Manage payroll staff of 8, including hiring, training, and performance management.
· Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
· Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related issues and implement best practices.
· Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed for payroll-related services.
· Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
· Lead the implementation and optimization of time card systems to improve accuracy and efficiency in time tracking and payroll processing.
Essential Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management in a high volume environment
· ADP Vantage system experience required
· Extensive knowledge of payroll administration, including tax withholding, benefits administration, and compliance.
· Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations related to payroll and taxes.
· Experience with implementing and optimizing time card systems.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Leadership abilities, including team management and development.
