Description:
DCP Law Office is looking for a paralegal focusing in the areas of estate administration and family law. We are located in North East, PA and this is an in person job (not remote).
Job Duties
1. Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys
2. Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
3. Drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, filings for estate administration, letters, etc.
4. Preparing and filing documents with courts
5. Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
6. Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
7. Maintaining attorneys calendar and court schedule
Required Skills/Experience/Education
1. Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies or similar degree. Can be waived with additional experience.
2. A minimum of two years prior experience in a paralegal role
3. Investigative mind and strong research skills
4. Working knowledge of legal software
5. Experience in preparing legal documents and pleadings
6. Excellent communication and time management skills
