New Business Development Management

 

Description:

As the Lead of New Business Development Management, you will support senior leadership with identifying, prioritizing, and making decisions on Dexcom’s growth strategies. This person will be responsible for acting as an internal strategic advisor, partnering across regions to manage multiple concurrent projects, and drafting robust frameworks and communications to support annual and long-term strategic planning. The successful individual will be effective in conducting data-driven analyses, synthesizing and assessing strategic options, and delivering on corporate imperatives.

 

We are looking for a candidate who combines intelligence, experience, business acumen, and humility to effectively join a high-performing Corporate Strategic Planning team. This is a tremendous opportunity to impact our customer base and growth of the organization, as well as serve as an internal business partner. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Planning and will support all aspects of strategic planning, including creating material to guide key executive meetings and collaborating across all functions of the organization to aggregate and track key results.

 

Where you come in:

  • You manage a portfolio of strategic programs across the global, including driving accountability of deliverables and actions for key corporate initiatives and connecting the dots across regions and functions.
  • You lead cross-functional business teams to drive analyses, recommendations, and delivery for Dexcom’s corporate initiatives.
  • You collaborate with individuals and teams across the organization to aggregate data analyses, develop our strategic positions, and align on recommendations.
  • You interface with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Corporate Development, Legal, and other functions across the globe to analyze and evaluate new opportunities including synthesizing information, drawing out strategic insights, and developing quantitative business models.
  • You prepare and deliver strategic planning materials for executive workshops and higher-level corporate planning meetings.
  • You create frameworks to enable strategy execution, activate teams to think long-term while still achieving short term objectives, and advance the strategic planning process.

 

What makes you successful:

  • You have experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, or business development roles in the medical device, diabetes, life sciences or digital health industries. Prior experience in management consulting or investment banking with an MBA preferred.
  • You possess a natural curiosity and are comfortable asking questions, analyzing risks, and synthesizing complex business problems.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, find comfort in ambiguity, and have a keen willingness to try new/challenging things.
  • You feel empowered in both lead or support roles across a variety of projects and responsibilities, including hands-on data crunching, presentation building, and executive briefing.
  • You are gifted in storytelling visually, verbally and through words.
  • You bring excellent relationship building, influencing and communication skills to build confidence and trust with all levels of the organization and working across boundaries.
