Network Engineer

Description:

Technical Skills and product knowledge requirements:

Ø 10 years of general network support experience.

Ø Strong experience with F5 APM.

Ø Strong understanding of PKI and Multi-Factor Authentication.

Ø Extensive knowledge of Cisco ISE.

Ø Extensive knowledge of IPSec/IKE (B2B VPN (Cisco preferred).

Ø Extensive knowledge of firewall administration (Checkpoint and Juniper preferred).

Ø Extensive knowledge of Load Balancer administration (F5 preferred).

Ø Extensive knowledge of switching and routing commands (Cisco preferred).

Ø Cisco IOS routers, Cisco IOS, and Nexus OS switches.

Ø Advanced level knowledge of any of the following routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP).

Ø Ability to create and/or maintain Visio Network diagrams.

Ø Experience troubleshooting and maintaining various types of cabling.

Ø Extensive history of documented troubleshooting skills relating to desktops, servers, network and firewalls.

Ø Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills.

Ø Professional, responsible attitude and work independently.

Ø Extensive written documentation (processes, user guides).

Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ø Ability to work with remote, matrixed teams.

Ø Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients.

Other Skills:

Ø Experience with DNS

Ø Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows

Ø Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)

Ø Experience with various Network Tools (NAS, NNMi, SevOne)

Ø Experience troubleshooting VPN client issues (F5 APM, Cisco Firepower preferred)

Ø Experience using Wireshark packet filters or tcpdumps.
