Description:

Be part of a dynamic Agile/SCRUM based team responsible for developing, testing, releasing, and maintaining a Microsoft .NET web-based application system for the US Air Force. Troubleshoot system problems and issues and looks for ways to improve the application. Has knowledge of a variety of programming concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, release, and maintain the Air Force’s Telecommunication Certification Office Support System (TCOSS) application in support of the Air Force’s Long Haul Communications mission
  • Using the very latest Microsoft and other development tools (Visual Studio 2022, Azure DevOps Server, .NET Core, Blazor, Telerik DevCraft), develop new features and capabilities for the application and push out new builds/releases
  • Setup and maintain web services (XML/SOAP) and API connections with internal and external agencies such as DISA and DITCO
  • Troubleshoot/debug system issues, perform unit/integration testing
  • Implement and follow Configuration/Change Management guidelines and processes; document all code repository changes using Microsoft’s Azure DevOps Server product
  • Utilize existing static code analysis tool (Parasoft) to check and fix security, memory, and code findings
  • Assist in creating system and user documentation/online help files

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6-8 years working in Information Technology operations with experience in applications and web based systems
  • Experience programming in MS Visual Studio/.NET Core using the C# language is mandatory
  • Experience with related web technologies and libraries including jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, XML, JSON is recommended
