Responsibilities

This role typically:

  • Patrols The Ringling's 66 acres of buildings, galleries, and grounds as assigned.
  • Monitor visitor activity to ensure:
  • Safety of staff and visitors
  • Adherence to all policies/procedures
  • Protection of the collection, buildings, and grounds while guarding against theft, vandalism, and other damage
  • Briefly answers guest questions with a focus on customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our diverse visitor population.
  • Conducts daily inspections of assigned areas and reports:
    • Safety issues
    • Damages or necessary repairs
    • Water intrusion or leaks

As needed this role:

  • Assists with emergency situations by communicating with the appropriate point of contact.
  • Escorting staff and guests as assigned.

This role must present a professional image in line with internal dress code.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire
    • Please note, a driver's permit is not acceptable

Physical

  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ascend/descend stairs
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions

Education

  • HS diploma or GED
