Content Creation and Management

  • Develop, produce, and edit multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and photography, for SUNO’s website, social media channels, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain and organize a digital asset library of photos, videos, and graphic designs for university use.

Social Media Strategy and Engagement

  • Work with Director to create and schedule posts across all SUNO social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the university’s brand and voice.
  • Monitor social media trends, track analytics, and provide recommendations to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Respond to inquiries and comments on social media professionally.
  • Develop strategies to enhance online engagement, creating visual and video content, and monitoring social media interactions. The coordinator will ensure that all multimedia elements align with the University's PR and media objectives.

· Produce video/multimedia content for the university’s digital platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and website) from idea to finished product.

· Design strategies that focus on the amplification of content (on relevant social channels) to the right audiences to achieve specific communications engagement goals

Collaboration with Departments

  • Work closely with university departments to support multimedia needs, including recruitment campaigns, academic programs, and student activities.
  • Provide creative direction and technical expertise for multimedia projects.
  • Lead the development of digital communications content, including social and short-form videos in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students as needed.

· Work closely with Director, Webmaster, and colleagues across the university to ensure a consistent pipeline across platforms of engaging videos, graphics and audio stories align with the University's branding and strategic goals.

· Other duties as assigned.

Event Coverage and Promotion

  • Capture and document campus events through photography and videography for promotional and archival purposes.
  • Create and distribute multimedia content to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
  • Capture high-quality visuals that enhance the college's storytelling.

· Provide hands-on video and audio story development guidance, empowering the team to continuously evolve, elevate, and produce premium content while meeting aggressive deadlines.

· Supports departmental projects, including crisis communications response as needed, to help teams meet deadlines and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by business priorities and/or the news cycle.

Graphic Design

  • Design flyers, posters, banners, and other marketing collateral for campus-wide initiatives and events.
  • Ensure all visuals align with SUNO’s branding guidelines and standards.
  • Work with Director on titles and graphic elements, ensure timely and optimized publishing on social media and other multimedia platforms.
  • Develop and manage promotion and distribution plans in consultation with the Advancement team and external units, including drafting or approving related/companion copy elements and narratives, reviewing pitches, scripts, and video edits while ensuring consistency, strong through line, timeliness for news and audience consumption cycle, and tracking metrics.

Competencies

  • General knowledge of marketing strategy, campaign execution, branding, website management, social media, and email campaign strategies.
  • Demonstrated advanced graphic design skills (skilled in Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and manage effective projects.
  • Demonstrated experience creating or managing digital and printed collateral, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) and experience in managing them effectively to increase engagement.
  • Proficiency in creating, curating, and managing visual content, including photos, videos, and graphics, to enhance storytelling.
  • Ability to analyze social media metrics and insights, track data from campaigns, and provide actionable recommendations for strategy improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey messages, engage with online communities, and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of highly-technical audio-visual equipment ( microphones, drones, sound boards, video cameras, lighting, etc.
  • Capability to support crisis communication efforts by quickly producing and sharing appropriate visual and social media content.
  • Creative thinking ability with a strong sense of visual storytelling to develop engaging content that aligns with the college's brand and objectives.

Required education and experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multimedia production, graphic design, social media management, or related fields.

· Experience with photography/videography equipment, and the ability to use editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign).

· Experience in engaging with followers, responding to comments, and fostering a positive online community.
