Essential Functions:
Tasks may include:
Contribute to development of videos that highlight student achievements, faculty research, and alumni accomplishments. The assistant will work with the team on concept development, setup/strike-down, and post-production tasks, including editing, exporting audio transcripts, music curation, and sorting video clips/B-Roll.
Support the creation of effective, creative, original, on-brand digital materials for publication on the Advancement division’s webpages and on the AU Alumni Association social media channels.
Draft, edit, and revise content for the Advancement division’s university webpages including www.american.edu/giving and www.american.edu/change-cant-wait.
Assist with writing and publication of web-based news stories and social media posts.
Update and maintain the internal departmental digital asset management system, including organizing, naming, and tagging video b-roll and photography.
Capture photography and videography on campus to support Advancement Communications projects as directed.
Run analytical reports on email campaigns and website traffic, compile and distribute metrics and reports.
Assist the Associate Director of Advancement Communications and Senior Director of Advancement Communications and Campaign Operations with administrative tasks as needed.
