What You Will Do:
Multimedia consultation, execution and organization (85%)

  • Provide consultation to groups across the College to aid their efforts in developing multimedia content and illustrative materials that tell the College’s story and strengthen its brand.

  • Execute video projects from conceptualization to completion, including follow-up with partners. This may include storyboarding, generating creative briefs, producing, editing and distributing videos through various channels.

  • Produce photos, videos and graphics for publication on the College’s websites, social media channels and email marketing platforms.

  • Design and coordinate the printing of annual reports, case studies, promotional materials, direct mail pieces, stationery, holiday cards and other materials.

  • Serve as the point of contact to field photo, video, graphic design and multimedia requests.

  • Adhering to UW brand guidelines, establish a consistent look for UW College of Education identity recognition across the College’s internal and external communications.
  • Event support (10%)
  • Act as photo and video lead for College of Education Advancement and/or College-wide events such as EduTalks, Commencement and faculty-led symposiums or special events.

  • Research and recommend venues; lead and/or support communication and follow-up with event venue staff.
  • Other duties as assigned (5%)
  • Write copy for the College’s website, newsletter, print publications, social media, e-communications and other channels, as needed.

  • Conduct content maintenance on the College’s websites.

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    A bachelor’s degree in multimedia, graphic design, film production, marketing, journalism, communications or related field AND at least two years of work experience producing multimedia content.

    Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

    What You Bring:
  • Demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories through video.

  • Proficiency with a variety of video production and design applications, including, but not limited to: Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects.

  • Proficiency with graphic design concepts, practices and procedures for both print and web.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and adhere to specific goals and deadlines. Strong follow-through and ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) writing style and ability to write and edit effective copy with a focus on the intended audience.
  • What You Can Expect:
  • Some evening and weekend hours are required, as necessary, with short or limited notice.
  • Some local travel is required, as necessary.
