KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsibility for the design, development, test, and maintenance of embedded software for hard real-time applications for motor controls
- Work individually across a matrixed team environment and collaborate within a team of engineers located in worldwide engineering centers
THE PERSON
Otis is looking for a hardworking, collaborative, self-motivator that works with creativity and energy as a motor control software engineer in a medium size group to design, develop and test motor drives for elevator systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
- Must be familiar with
- PM and induction motor dynamic models
- Control theory including PI regulators, phase and gain margin stability analysis
- Digital signal processing including digital filters, digital observers, DFTs and FFTs
- Proficiency in C programming language
- Must be able to develop and maintain real-time control software including ADCs, PWMs, state machines, hardware abstraction layers, serial communications, memory management.
- Familiarity with Texas Instruments C2000 DSPs, Code Composer Studio, and ST microcontrollers.
- Must be able to trouble-shoot complex software.
- Must be able to work with software change management and configuration tools.
- Must be able to work in a global team environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in either Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical / power electronic hardware design development skills
