Description:

The Microsoft Power Platform developer is responsible for design, development, testing, and implementation of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams, and complementary tools.

The ITS Enterprise Platforms Department has an immediate opening for a Microsoft Power Platform Developer, reporting to the Enterprise Platforms Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, plus a strong understanding of business processes. You will work with a team of developers and business analysts to automate manual tasks to drive efficiencies and support best practices and user adoption.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, document, test, and implement efficient business solutions adhering to security best practices and industry standards.
  • Enhance and maintain existing solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with citizen developers to provide advice and guidance as they develop solutions.
  • Participate in developing and fostering SharePoint Online and Power Platform best practices across the district.
  • Answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide support for 5th district usage of SharePoint Online.
  • Conduct code and test plan reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for maximum efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with other enterprise systems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform and SharePoint Online features, technologies, and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly learn the tools and processes used in the 5th District to perform the role’s primary functions.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform and SharePoint Online platform features, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate successful site and solution development using SharePoint Online and Power Platform.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customers and collaborate with other team members.
  • Be a team player; ‘we’ vs ‘me’ mentality.
