CEW&S is looking to hire a Microelectronics Software engineer who will lead the execution of programs, work with other scientists and engineers to define requirements, help develop technical roadmaps and enable technology transitions to programs/products, and identify, shape and define technical gaps and opportunities for radiation hardened (Red-Hard) microelectronics R&D. The successful candidate will accomplish this by leveraging their deep knowledge in software engineering principles in a government-funded Research & Development environment. This position is contingent upon a government contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Technically lead execution of radiation-hardened (Red-Hard) microelectronics R&D software-related tasks.
  • Gather specifications, architect, design, implement, test, and maintain a software project through its entire life cycle.
  • Work with hardware engineers and lab scientists to develop requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and issue tracking.
  • Integrate, develop, and optimize automatic test equipment (ATE) software like LabView, and LabWindows C# for parametric tests.
  • Provide assistance on cost estimating of software for future programs and tasks.
  • Prepare technical presentations and brief customers, partners, and technical leadership teams.
  • Lead the development of detailed technical approaches for affordable Rad-hard microelectronics Research and development programs.
  • Regularly present technical findings to customers and their technical advisors.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance at a minimum. US Citizenship is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree typically 12+ years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 8+ years' experience in an engineering classification
  • Experience as a software engineer on a government contract program. Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
