Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate the museum’s membership fulfillment program in close coordination with the museum’s external fulfillment mailing house, digital membership card provider (Cuseum), and SAM’s in house Donor Services team.
- Process, assemble, and mail/distribute in-house membership fulfillment projects including staff memberships, the annual Holiday Gift Membership campaign, and co-supervising seasonal staff.
- Create and coordinate the annual Holiday Gift Membership renewal mailing.
- Track all membership fulfillment material inventory on-site and with the museum’s external mailing house. Initiate reprinting of materials as needed, working closely with the museum’s marketing department and Donor Services Supervisor.
- Process all SAM Fund and community campaign gifts, including gift entry and maintaining constituent data in Tessitura.
- Write and execute all SAM Fund gift acknowledgments in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative support to the membership team as needed, including scheduling team meetings.
- Coordinate SAM Fund pledge installments and other SAM Fund/community campaign correspondence as needed.
- Assist the Membership Experience and SAM Fund Manager in implementing SAM Fund and other museum community campaigns.
- Work with the Membership Experience and SAM Fund Manager on the tracking and implementation of membership benefits.
- Provide membership research support, including making inquiries on membership and annual fund programs of other museums and organizations.
- Collaborate with the Donor Services team to improve and update department policies and procedures.
- Provide data entry support for the Donor Services team as needed.
- Attend and assist with Development Department events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, marketing, arts, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
- CRM knowledge preferred.
- Minimum of one year development experience, or equivalent experience in a related area.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and mindfully when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Demonstrated proficiency with and accuracy using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs. Database experience a plus.
- Motivated to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work with close attention to both alpha and numeric detail, and to maintain donor and institutional confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with members of the Board, donors/members, executives, management, employees, and the public. Ability to exceed customer service expectations of donors/members and the public.
- Ability to adhere to SAM policies and to support management decisions in a positive, professional manner.
