Everest Health Partners has an immediate need for an experienced physician with high emotional intelligence and thirst for learning to join our growing clinical team.
At this woman owned, Nurse Practitioner- led medical practice, we provide Adult-Gerontology Primary Care with a focus on primary prevention, resolution of existing morbidities, and health optimization with a personalized medicine approach .
Patients may include actors, professional athletes, CEOs, high-net worth individuals, retirees, scientists, physicians, and working professionals. They may range from generally healthy looking to optimize health to very ill and seeking alternative treatment beyond the limits of conventional medicine.
We do not accept insurance for our services, which allows appointments to range from 30-60 minutes time with a physician, more advanced screening and treatment for better health outcomes, with each provider seeing 8-16 patients per day.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a safe, secure, and healthy environment for patients, colleagues, and staff, and provide exceptional quality of care and service to patients and their family members.
- Create and maintain relationships of confidence and trust with new and existing patients.
- Help answer patients’ questions and address their concerns before, during, and after examination including phone calls and electronic communication.
- Assist patients in a timely manner to obtain medications, imaging, referrals by advocating on their behalf and completing PAs.
- Obtain a detailed and inquisitive history and physical.
- Provide extensive patient education including personalized lifestyle recommendations.
- Prescribe medications, vitamins, supplements, imaging, procedures, behavior modifications, and referrals as appropriate.
- Approach medical care from a whole-person holistic perspective.
- Maintain accurate and secure electronic medical records for patients.
- Recognize the symptoms and signs of various illnesses and injuries, order appropriate tests, and prescribe treatments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care team and specialists to ensure quality of care
- Be comfortable with complicated cases and willingness to view each patient with fresh eyes.
- Does not rely on own experiential knowledge but actively researches the current state of medical science.
- Openness to evidence based treatments beyond the limits of conventional medicine
- Have familiarity with identifying clinically significant vs statistically significant vs 0/non-0 research findings and application to clinical decision making.
- Willing to participate with clinical studies.
- Willing to perform duties associated with collaborating physician for NP staff.
- Treat all patients with respect, dignity, and care and be able to maintain discretion and integrity with high-profile patients.
- Able to provide education to patients for a wide variety of knowledge levels including other physicians and scientists.
- Interested in learning new skills, managing, prescribing, and operating medical devices including skin rejuvenation injections, PRP, microneedling, hair restoration, VO2max, EKG interpretation, RMR and body composition assessment and treatment, HBOT, Fraxel laser, PFT/spirometry, and advanced thorough physical assessment.
- Comfortable with telemedicine.
- Comfortable with training staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- DO or MD with license to practice in VA.
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospital ICU/ED/telemetry or primary care/internal medicine setting.
- Telephone etiquette and customer service, good bedside manner and ability to assess various needs of patients for communication style.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with EMR and basic medical procedures such as EKG and physical exam
- Experience in Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution
- Startup attitude: creative, eager to learn, and excellent critical-thinking skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication, and writing skills.
- Able to physically lift 20lb objects from the floor and assist patients with mobility.
