Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience in aerospace and/or decelerator industry.
- Proven experience in aerospace or related industry in one or more of the following areas:
- Design and operation of integrated decelerator systems
- Design use of textiles or flexible structure materials
- Design use of common aerospace metallic materials and surface treatments
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)
- Experience with configuration management, nonconforming material review and disposition of discrepant hardware
- Proven experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar tools
- Excellent digital literacy with the ability to rapidly learn and use a variety of software tools as needed.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Strong coordination and project management skills, in order to track, manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Must be willing to support frequent travel (up to 15%) to our West Texas Launch Site
