Description:
Mechanical Designer Priorities
- Assist in the design of mechanical (HVAC) systems on a variety of projects under the supervision of Project Leadership
- Develop accurate designs/drawings that comply with all applicable codes and company drafting standards, practices, and procedures
- Assist in the heating/cooling load calculations and building energy modeling
- Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, and undertake technical investigation studies
- Coordinate internally with the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, and design teams
- Participate in the QA/QC process, project time budgeting, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross-checking
- Coordinate with Code Officials and provide code summaries for projects
- Coordinate time and schedule to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Participate in all scheduled team communication, meetings, and trainings
What You Need
- Minimum Associates or Technical Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering, Construction or similar
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience designing mechanical systems including HVAC air and water systems
- Relevant Work Experience in AutoCAD and Revit 2018 or newer
- Knowledge or willingness to learn building/energy codes, and working with Utility Companies and Local Municipalities
- High level of Personal Integrity and Honesty with one's ability
- Propensity for Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
- Effective Verbal and Written Communications skills
- EIT certification a plus!
