Description:

Duties

  • You will receive, store, and ship bin and bulk supplies, materials and equipment.
  • You will prepare shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems.
  • You will match, check, and compare data on re-warehouse and reconsolidation instruments.
  • You will operate weight handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and electric lifts.
  • You will perform daily safety inspections.

Qualifications

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

  • Loading and unloading shipments utilizing weight handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and electric lifts;
  • Performing inventories of material in storage;
  • Inspecting shipments for damages, overages or shortages;
  • Loading, unloading, storing, and disposing of incoming and outgoing shipments
