Description:
The Operations Associate Material Handler is responsible for material handling, warehousing, SAP material movement transactions, FIFO adherence and operational material flow strategy. This position will have primary responsibility for executing the coordination of production materials, safety compliance, data collection, maintaining 5S Visual Workplace, inventory (packaging materials and finished goods), cycle counting, and overall production support for both Liquids and UAP production areas. The material handler works within a structure that requires considerable interaction with others in the same production unit as well as other production units and support functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.
- Understands and is accountable for following: all Quality, GMP, and cleaning standards and guidelines. Loads and unloads materials, parts
- and finished products manually or by mechanized means
- Transfers and stores materials throughout the plant and warehouse using forklift equipment
- Complete all appropriate SAP and RF transactions for receiving, transferring and shipping of materials and finished product
- Utilizes SAP to confirm material movements and reads build of materials or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
- Delivers production items to designate work areas
- Processes remaining materials no longer needed for regain into the SAP system as well as ensuring proper storage in correct bin locations
- Delivers processed units to storage or for the next stage of processing
- Stacks processed items in warehouse
- Performs cycle counts and quick counts to ensure inventory accuracies
- Completes daily digital check sheet for forklift safety and maintenance requirements
- Performs safety check of pallet stacking at end of shift and reports and resolves any issues
- Assist with packing products in containers
- Conduct rework and associated duties to include: tracking of materials being reworked, communication with the quality and operation teams.
- Assists with startup, changeovers, and operations of automated and manual equipment throughout the production facility.
- Performs daily housekeeping activities and conducts/participates in area housekeeping assessments as required to meet all GMPs and FDA requirements.
- Maintains accurate levels of staged inventory for production needs and calculates remaining inventory needs for each production line based on case count requirements or production over a 4 hour period of time
- Ensures accurate processing and documentation of quality non-conforming materials as well as non-compliant finished goods
- Removes, documents and disposes of Production line waste according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends and mandatory overtime as needed.
- Proficient with computers, software, and data processing.
- Demonstrated competency of Attention to Detail, Work Standards, Initiative and Managing Work
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly
- Ability to operate a forklift and comply with all forklift safety regulations
