Description:
The Marketing Operations Associate will support the optimization of Marketing and Communication campaigns tied to Membership, Education, Hospitals/Health Systems and major announcements through list segmentation, marketing automation and other techniques. This individual will work closely with leads across the division to compile and analyze data, track and measure marketing outcomes, forecast trends and direct market strategy. They will also lead the division to coordinate and track email marketing sends and analyze data (i.e. open rates, Google analytics, etc.) to improve targeting and effectiveness of campaigns.
This position is based in Washington, DC where we have a hybrid work environment (roughly 40% of the time in the office).
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work across the MarCom team and with other colleagues across the college to establish measurable objectives and provide regular reports for staff, partners and other stakeholders as needed.
- Serve as the point person in the MarCom division to track and objectively review analytics to determine success of campaigns, identify areas for further testing and/or targeting, as well as innovation.
- Lead comprehensive strategic recommendations for campaign optimization for the division, working closely with leads across the division.
- Manage data analysis and uncover insights for developing marketing strategies, identifying new opportunities and generating innovative ideas, while collaborating with team leads.
- Develop strategies for market automation that purposely engage customers and lead efforts to mitigate email overload.
- Work with Marketing and Communications team members to optimize list segmentation and conduct list pulls.
- Develop and manage campaign calendar and create proposals that help the division mitigate overlap and ensure the broadest, most effective reach of messaging.
- Assist the digital operations team, as needed, with configuring and setting up campaigns within the College’s email marketing system.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications.
- 6 + years of marketing communications experience with demonstrated experience in marketing analysis and operations.
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
- Effective communicator with the ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing operations, including use of email marketing platforms (i.e. Higher Logic), constituent management software (i.e. Salesforce), Google analytics, etc.
